Fairy tales

Therapeutic fairy tales help children better understand what has happened to them or is happening in the present. They help to look kindly yet deeply at difficult, unclear or painful things around or within the child. They help to integrate old experiences into contemporary life. They bring deeper insight, understanding and thus release. The power of metaphor is great.

Storytelling is a bridge between a person's inner world and the outer real world. Children and we adults love stories and run to them when something is weighing us down. Because all sorrows can be carried away when put into a story that is told.
